Unfortunately today, people do not even consider casting evil glances to be a sin, when in actuality it is the root of innumerable vices and sins.

    یہ بتائیے کہ اگر آپ کا ایک ٹوٹا ہوا جھونپڑا ہے جس میں لیٹرین بھی نہیں ہے، گندگی سے بھرا ہوا ہے اور کوئی کریم اور مہربان بادشاہ کہتا ہے کہ اگر تم اپنے اس مکان کو ڈھا دو تو ہم تمہیں ایک نئی شاندار عمارت بنا کردیں گے یاسعودی حکومت یہ اعلان کرتی ہے کہ ہم مسجدِ نبوی کے قریب کے مکانات ڈھانا چاہتے ہیں اور مسجدِ نبوی کی توسیع کرنا چاہتے ہیں اور اگر تمہارا مکان ایک لاکھ کا ہے تو ہم تم کو پچاس لاکھ دیں گے تو آپ لوگ تمنا کرتے ہیں اور دعائیں مانگتے ہیں کہ مسجدِ نبوی کی توسیع کے لیے ہمارا مکان حکومت کی نظر میں آجائے تاکہ ایک لاکھ کے پچاس لاکھ ملیں تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے ہماری خواہشات کے مکانوں کو گرانے کا جو حکم دیا ہے کہ جو بری بری خواہشات اور گندے گندے تقاضے ہیں مثلاً عورتوں کو دیکھنے کے، لڑکوں کو دیکھنے کے، عشقِ مجازی کے، جھوٹ بولنے کے، بے جا غصہ کے، ان خبیث مادّوں کو اگر تم گرا دو یعنی دل میں بری خواہشات کے مکان کو ڈھا دو تو اس سے کچھ دن کے لیے تو تمہیں ایسا محسوس ہوگا کہ دل ویران ہوگیا لیکن میں اس ویرانی میں اپنی محبت کا اور نسبت مع اللہ کا خزانہ رکھ دوں گا

    یہ صحنِ چمن، یہ لالہ و گل ہونے دو جو ویراں ہوتے ہیں

    تخریبِ جنوں کے پردے میں تعمیر کے ساماں ہوتے ہیں

      There are four actions which if one adopts, Insha Allah, he will become a wali (friend of Allah) before he passes away. With the barakah of practicing these four actions, Insha Allah, he will gain the ability to practice all the other commandments of deen. This is because generally people find these actions to be hard on the . Like the student who manages to answer the difficult questions on a test will have no problem answering the easy ones. So, the one who suppresses his for the pleasure of Allah and carries out these actions, practicing deen will become easy for him, and he will die as a Wali (friend) of Allah.

      It’s just one time effort to learn Correct Pronunciation and Recitation of The Qur’aan Majeed. After that there are 4 actions.

      1. To adopt the appearance of Ambiya (alaihis salaam), that is to grow the equal to one fist in length from all three sides
      2. To keep one’s clothes above the   in two conditions when walking and when standing. (This ruling applies to men. Women should cover their ankles)
      3. To protect the eyes from casting lustful glances (from women and handsome young boys)
      4. To guard the Heart from entertaining evil thoughts

      Four Actions

        Once while I was traveling through the city of Kanpur on my way to visit Mawlana Siddique Sahib, I happened to come upon a particular place where many businessmen of Kanpur had gathered. Mufti Manzoor Sahib of Jami’aatul ‘Uloom was also present as part of that gathering. The businessmen appointed Mufti Sahib as their spokesperson to inquire from me regarding some matter that had been troubling them. They inquired, “It has been stated that individuals need not be very much involved in this world and to set aside worldly affairs. It will then become difficult to go about having sleepless nights in order to take care of the various tasks regarding the businesses, such as to deal with the union, to order the merchandise etc. If no love is involved therein, how do we make our businesses flourish? Businessmen normally keep busy in that regard.” I responded to them stating that Allah Ta’ala does not restrict the legitimate love of one’s spouse, children, parents or even one’s business, in fact, even intense love for them is permissible. All Allah Ta’ala is asking from us is to overcome all the attachments of this world with the .

        وَالَّذِینَ اٰمَنُو ٓااَشَدُّ حُبَّالِّلّٰہِ

        (Surah Al-Baqarah; Ayah 165; Juz 2)

        If the love for one’s mother, father, spouse, children, business and factories etc. is fifty percent, then increase your love for Allah to fifty-one percent. Just increase your love for Allah one more percent and you will become a complete believer. Allah Ta’ala has used the word ‘ashad‘ in the Qur’an. You can ask ‘Ulema regarding the difference between ashad and shadeed.

        Ashad and shadeed love will be tested. How does one know if someone is overcome by the love of Allah or by the love of wealth? It will be examined by the means of a test. For example, there are two candidates running in an election, both of them are your friends. Both of them will come to you to convince you to vote for them. Now how would it become clear that who you love the most? You will vote for the one who you love the most. Similarly, when it comes to the battle between Allah’s Will and ours, then it will be tested through whether you follow the orders of Allah or your own desires. Then it will become apparent whether the love of Allah is dominant in you or whether it is the love of one’s desires.

        This is the reason Prophet (May Allah Bless him and grant him peace) would make the following supplication: “Oh Allah, I ask of Your love, and the love of that person who loves You and of those actions which attract Your love. Oh Allah, make Your love greater to me than the love of myself, my family and of cold water.” Aameen!

          English Translation:

          Hazrat Mawlana Shah Hakeem Muhammad Akhtar Sahib (Damat Barakatuhum) commenced his discourse by relating a recent incident of a who came from which is located in Burma. (DB) said: “He came from Burma, Rangoon, from a lengthy distance. This is the real thirst. All of you people live in Karachi and deem it difficult to come here. Where is Rangoon and where is Karachi? Rangoon is in
          Burma.” In other words, look at the distance between Rangoon and Karachi.

          “Is attaining the friendship of Allah an ordinary gift? If one has a connection with an ordinary police inspector or a or a senior government official, then people proudly boast about the connection they share with such and such person. Then what would one say about a person who has a connection with Allah Ta’ala? Who is greater than Allah? No one is greater than Allah, He is the Greatest. In turn, a connection with
          Allah Ta’ala is the greatest gift, but to attain a connection with Allah Ta’ala one must have .”

          Allah Ta’ala has said, “None is My friend except those who are muttaqi (),” those who are fearful of Allah Ta’ala and protect themselves from all sins. This is why it is very important to leave sin. is the base of attaining the friendship of Allah. If one does not leave sin, then one will be stuck in a state of sinning until one dies, and will face Allah Ta’ala in that state, as a sinner.

          Therefore my friends fear Allah. While fearing Allah do not displease Allah regardless of how much struggle one may have to endure. Do not displease Allah Ta’ala even for a single moment whether the nature of the sin is minor or major. Allah Ta’ala is the Greatest, a minor sin is also considered a grave sin to the One that is the Greatest.

            The blood shed by sacrificing one’s is the horizon of becoming a saint. means to curb the fulfilling of the desires of the heart. Shed the blood of all your haram desires and all the four horizons of your heart will become red. The sun of this world rises from one horizon, that is from the east. But when the saints adopt by sacrificing all their haram desires and enduring grief in the path of Allah, then all the horizons of the heart become red and the sun of Allah’s friendship and relationship rises in the heart.

            And if one did not sacrifice his desires, then what will he achieve? He will attain darkness upon darkness and pollution over pollution. He will get a foul odour and a disgraced name. No one on earth will call him Hadhrat. When the creation comes to know that a person is the head (of evil), they snatch all noble titles away from him. One of the punishments of sin in this world is that all titles of honour are snatched away from one in this world.

            What will be the condition of that heart whose every horizon has the sun of Allah’s proximity rising from it? When a man called Khurshid (sun) came to me one day, I recited the following couplet to him:

            When Khurshid obtained the creator of Khurshid (the sun) in his heart, then ask Khurshid the condition of his world.

              اَعُوْذُ باِﷲ ِ مِنَ شَّیطَانِ الرَّجِیْم

              بِسْمِ  اﷲ ِ  الرَّحمن  ِ الرَّحِیْم

              يَايُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءامَنُوا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمْ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ

              (Al Quran 2:183)

              Allah Ta’ala (Jalla Jalalahu) is showing His divine favor and by saying ‘O ye who believe! is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you’. Allama Aloosi Syed Mahmood Baghdadi have said in Tafseer Roohul Ma’ani that this ayat is revealed to provide comfort by informing that Fasting is not difficult. Fast, as people before you did. It means that this evil doubt that comes to your mind about dying by  being starved from sunrise to the sunset during the Fast (is false). No one ever died. The people before you did it and lived.

              كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ

              ‘As it was prescribed to those before you’. The people before you had fast and they survived and no one ever died. So the suspicion of being  starved to death  by fasting, is fallacious. You will sustain. Because this is an order of the Sustainer. You will get a new life (energy) in your life by obeying His command.

              لَعَلَّکُمْ تَتَّقُونَ

              Why did I (the almighty Allah) made the Fasting obligatory? So that you can become a friend of Mine. You are only a slave right now. Believer enters into slavery by believing but you will only be crowned with My friendship when you will Fast. Are you all hearing the reward of Fasting? You are only a slave at the moment. If you Fast, I (the almighty Allah) will put the crown of My friendship on the head of your slavery. Because in another ayat Allah Ta’ala informs the believer اِنا اولیاء الالمتقون. ‘No one is My friend except those who are muttaqi (the pious)’. Those who abstain from sins.

                فرمایا : اللہ تعالي ہم لوگوں کو توفيق ديں کہ کسي پر نگاہ نا ڈاليں نگاہ خراب نا کريں راستہ چلو تو نيچے ديکھو  اگر ہمت نا کريں تو کعبے شريف ميں بھي نظر خراب کرتا ہے اللہ کے گھر ميں اللہ کي نا فرماني کر کے منہ کالا کرتا ہے اللہ کے گھر ميں بھي اللہ کا نا فرمان ہوتا ہے بس  ياد رکھو اللہ کي نافرماني بہت خراب چيز ہے ، دنيا  بھي خراب  اور آخرت بھي خراب اللہ  اپني رحمت سے ہم سب لوگوں کو متقي بنا دے، اپني رحمت سےاللہ  ہم سب کو متقي پرہيز گار بنادے.

                  Just this morning, Allah Ta’ala inspired my heart with an incredible topic that, who is the true ? The true mureed is the one whose muraad (aim and objective) is Allah Ta’ala.

                  Now, who is the true ? The true Shaikh is the one who guides his mureed to his desired objective. He supplicates to Allah Ta’ala and cries from the depths of his heart on his behalf. This is true . Therefore, the true mureed is the one whose muraad (objective) is the Being of Allah Ta’ala.

                  This verse of the Qur’aan Shareef: (They desire Him) declares that the real objective of the true lovers of Allah Ta’ala is the Being of Allah Ta’ala. Thus, every mureed should take stock of himself in the light of this verse whether he is a true mureed or not? If our muraad is truly the Being of Allah Ta’ala then we will never look at ghairullah. As for that mureed who casts evil glances, and looks at ghairullah, then know that his intention is still deficient and he is still not fully matured. The ‘kabab‘ of his Nisbah is still raw. Whomsoever eats raw kabab will be tasteless and others who associate with him will also remain without taste.

                  It is not possible that a true Allah-Wala has the love of the world and ghairullah in his heart.

                    ولی اللہ کی پہچان

                    فرمایا: بس یہ دو کام کرلو ان شا اللہ ولی اللہ ھو کر مرو گے ۔ ھیں تو چار کام لیکن صالحین کے مجمع میں دو ھی کام بتاتا ھوں کیوں کہ داڑھی تو سب کی ایک مٹھی ھے ھی اور پاجامہ بھی ٹخنوں سے اوپر ہے لہٰذا اب دو کام ہیں ۔

                    ۱- نظر کی حفاظت
                    ۲- دل کی حفاظت

                    بس یہ دو کام مشکل ہیں جن میں بڑے بڑے لوگ فیل ہو جاتے ہیں ۔ جو اشراق، چاشت، اوّابین اور تہجّد پڑہتے ہیں اور ہر وقت کھٹا کھٹ تسبیح پڑھتے ھیں لیکن جب کوئی حسین عورت آجاتی ہے تو اس کو دیکھنے لگتے ھیں – یھی وقت ھے کہ نظر بچاو اور دل ٹوڑ دو – تمھاری ھزار تسبیحات سے یہ افضل ھے کہ اپنا دل توڑ دو اور خدا کا حکم نہ توڑو – ولی اللہ کی یہ پھچان ھے کہ جب حسین عورتیں سامنے آئیں خصوصاُ ہوائی جہاز پر جب ایرہوسٹس سامنے سے گزرے تو ولی اللہ وہ ھے جو اس کو سامنے سے بھی نہ دیکھِے اور پیچھے سے بھی نہ دیکھے – حضور صلّی اللہ علیہ وسلّم نے فرمایا ایک عورت کے ساتھ دو شیطان ہوتے ھیں، ایک آگے ایک پیچھے – جب سامنے سے آتی ہیں تو شیطان دکھاتا ھے کہ ان کی دو ٹانگوں کے درمیان میں جانے کا راستہ ھے، تم کہاں جا رھے ھو، اس راستے میں کیوں نھیں جاتے اور جب سامنے سے گذر جاتی ھے تو اس کا پیچھا دکھاتا ھے کہ دیکھو اس میں کیا مزہ ھوگا – اس لئے عورتوں کا نہ آگا دیکھو نہ پیچھا -

                    تھوڑی دیر کا مجاھدہ ھے مثلاُ جوہانسبرگ سے ڈربن ایک گھنٹہ کا سفر ہے، کیا مشکل ھے کہ ایک گھنٹہ تک باخدا رھو، اللہ کی یاد میں مشغول رھو – چائے کو پوچھے تو نگاہ نیچی کر کے کہ دو کی ہاں چائے لائو – چائے مانگنے کے لیے دیکھنا کیا ضروری ھے؟ جب ہمارے اللہ نے ان کو دیکھنا حرام فرما دیا تو اللہ پر فدا نہ ہوگے تو کس پر فدا ھو گے؟ اپنی قیمت کو پہچانو – وہ شخص اپنی قیمت کو گرا دیتا ھے جو غیر اللہ پر فدا ھوتا ھے – یہی ایرہوسٹس جس کو آج للچائی ھوئی نظروں سے دیکھتے ھو یہ جب اسّی برس کی ھوگی اور پستان ایک ایک فٹ لٹک گئے، آنکھیں دھنس گئیں، گال پچک گئے، دانت نھیں رھے، کمر جھک گئی اب اس سے بھاگو گے تو کیا کمال ھے ۔ اب تو کافر بھی بھاگے گا، یہودی بھی بھاگے گا، عیسائی بھی بھاگے گا۔
